Who Won the Free TorkLift Tailgater Stairs? Our Giveaway Drawing
We gave away a set of TorkLift Tailgater stairs, and this is the drawing, done live from our little studio with Bobby as the designated picker. Before the draw, Christian walks through photos of the stairs on our rig, so if you are wondering how they look on a truck camper, this is a quick visual tour.
What happens in this video
Five people made the final board by commenting the truck and camper they run. All five went up, we scrambled the board, and a random draw picked the winner. Bobby supervised, mostly by wondering who the dog on the screen was.
Highlights
The stairs, up close. We show the stairs with the tailgate down, folded up, and fully deployed. They are really sturdy. The legs at the bottom are adjustable, so if you park on an angle or on a rock you can adjust the feet. With the tailgate completely closed, there is very little space between the top of the tailgate and the camper, and the stairs still sit nicely. Any truck with a tailgate can use them.
Sized to your truck. The winner gets to choose how many steps they need, based on how high their tailgate is. That is why the winner gets fitted instead of shipped a random set.
A huckleberry detour. A few drone shots from the mountains sneak in, including Lori with huckleberry juice all over her face, and a nod to our friend who picks five gallons at a time in a patch that shall not be named.
The finalists. It was nearly all Fords: two Aerie 8 campers like ours (one on a 2025 F-350 diesel, one on a 2019 F-250), a 1992 Viking pop-up on an F-250 flatbed, a Starcraft camper on a 2022 Ram 3500, and a 2026 Soaring Eagle Adlar 6.5 XLS on a 2020 F-150 STX. That last one is a good reminder that the 6.5 XLS fits nicely on a half-ton truck.
The winner. Congratulations to Katie Callaway. Katie runs a 2026 Soaring Eagle Adlar 6.5 XLS on a 2020 Ford F-150 STX and posts on some of the Soaring Eagle camper forums. She had been climbing in and out on a three-step ladder, so these should be a real upgrade.
We also mentioned another giveaway of something related to camping and adventures planned for the middle of the next month, so stay tuned to the channel.
Disclosure: TorkLift provided the stairs for this giveaway. See the giveaway video and our full TorkLift GlowStep stairs review. If you are putting a set on your own truck, start with our TorkLift stairs install video.
