Free TorkLift Tailgater Stairs Giveaway + Huckleberry Hunt in Eagle One

TorkLift Tailgater stairs fit any pickup, with or without a camper. They mount at the tailgate and fold out of the way when you are done. We gave a set away in this video. The giveaway is closed now; the winner drawing is here.

The rest of the video is a huckleberry day in Eagle One, our F-350, with the best berry picker we know.

What happens in this video

It opens at dinner, with Christian calling the pasta probably the best he has tasted and Bobby making a strong case that he should review it. He does not get any. Bobby also does not get to come berry picking, because up there he would be a meal for a bear, a wolf, or Sasquatch.

Then Lori and Christian load up Eagle One and head out to pick up a friend we call the queen of huckleberries, the seven-gallon girl, on the way to a secret, undisclosed patch. Along the way someone hands us a gift of more than a gallon of huckleberries, and we set up the giveaway.

Highlights

The giveaway. We gave away a set of TorkLift Tailgater stairs. They fit just about any tailgate, so you do not even need a camper. To enter, you commented on this video with what you drive and what you would put them on. No subscribing required, though we would love it if you did. We said we would pick a winner from the comments on August 15.

Why we like them. Lori is vertically challenged, in Christian’s words. The built-in step on our F-350 is just too tall for a short person and hard to use, and the TorkLift stairs have been very easy to get up and down. If you want to install a set yourself, our TorkLift stairs install video covers the steps and the mistakes to skip.

F-350 features on the way up. The heads-up display puts the speed and other information right in front of the driver, so Christian barely needs the dash screen. On the steep mountain roads, the off-road cameras show both sides of the truck so we can see where the wheels are and how far down the edge is, along with the percent of climb and the angle so we know if it is too steep to pull over.

The berries. The patch delivers, and by sunset Lori and our friend have been picking all day. Everything’s huckleberry.

Disclosure: TorkLift provided the stairs and the prize. They did not pay us and did not see the video before it published. Our full take is in the TorkLift GlowStep stairs review.

Questions people ask about this video

Do TorkLift Tailgater stairs need a truck camper?

No. They fit just about any tailgate, so you can put them on a pickup with only a bed and no camper.

How did people enter the TorkLift stairs giveaway?

By commenting on this video with the vehicle they would put the stairs on. No subscribing or anything special was required. The giveaway is closed now, and the drawing was held in mid-August.

Why did you want stairs on the F-350 if it has a built-in step?

The built-in step on our F-350 is just too tall for a short person. Lori is 5 feet tall, and the TorkLift stairs made getting up and down easy.

What off-road features does the F-350 use on mountain roads?

Ours shows camera views on both sides of the truck so we can see where the wheels are and how far the drop is, plus the percent of climb and angle so we know if a spot is too steep to pull over.
